Why Ponderosa Property Management?
I am Mary Halling, owner of Ponderosa Property Management; a full service
Property Management company, located in Plains, Montana. My decision to start a
Property Management business in this area stems from the concerns I have been
hearing from property owners, tenants and Realtors® that there is a great need
for this sort of service.
There seems to be a general feeling of frustration from owners who feel “tied
down” to their rental properties; being the rent collector, maintenance and
cleaning person. When what they had hoped for was a source of additional income
to allow them to enjoy other pursuits.
My experience in Property Management comes from a combination of years of
employment with the two largest Real Estate firms in North Lake Tahoe; Coldwell
Banker Incline Village, and Tanager Realty. At Coldwell Banker in the rental
department, I learned a great deal about property inspections, procedures for
maintenance, the accounting and reporting of tenant and owner ledgers, just to
name a few… At Tanager Realty, I worked in the Administration and Rental
departments. Both firms had 150 +/- vacation, seasonal and long term rentals.
In fall 2004, I moved back to Plains. After receiving my license in March 2005,
I first ran the business from my home. With the immediate success, I quickly
realized home was not going to work- so in January 2006, relocated to the
current office at 195 Boyer Street.
I am committed to staying informed of the ever-changing Landlord Tenant and Fair
Housing Laws/Requirements. In addition to the annual continuing education
provided by the Mt. Board of Realty Regulation, I subscribe to numerous
pertinent Newsletters and Website updates.
It is my desire to provide a professional service to the many great owners,
tenants and Realtors® of this area. I look forward to a long and fulfilling
relationship of doing business with all of them.
